@Tazoc: I checked Boot folder on sda1, and vmlinuz file is right next to Grub folder. Removed line 'savedefault' from menu.lst file and on reboot kernel panic returned, the same as before... Please help to fix a Full install. PC - 533 MHz AMD K6-2, 256 MB SD RAM, 30 GB HD. All went well - Partitioned HD with stock Puppy CD - only one Linux partition ext 4 (bootable) + SWAP 500 MB. Still NO indication of success on installation, as no prompt window coming out to tell me it's done successfull install, and also NO error message... after about 12 hours...
