Hi 666philb,
I downloaded quick-pet Lucid 511-FullNvidia_260.19.12-K2.633.2.
I thought that was the best choice of the six, don't know.
It's a friends computer so some time passes between tests.
His GTX570 runs 2560x1440 on a big monitor. I was able to get 1920X1200.
Lucid 528.004
2.6.33.2
Thanks

In Lucid 5.1.1 Opened the console and type: geany /etc/rc.d/rc.shutdown Scroll down about 3/4 of the page. I look for the number 13 on the left side. rc.shutdown in 5.1
I struggled to get 5.01 to shutdown without saving and now the rc.shutdown in 5.1 has changed. I've tried to make similar changes but nothing works. The text in 5.1 is different, the how to I used doesn't cross over.

I want to stop the session save at shutdown. Right now it's in default auto save session mode. Next and separate from save session at shutdown. If the desktop save icon function is a default save every 30 minutes during the session then I also want to stop that. Changing to manual save mode would be...
