merge sfs files into one sfs using aufs & mksquash?
Would it be possible to mount and merge several sfs files using aufs, then "mksquash" the mountpoint for the aufs merged sfs files into one? Goal: I have more than six sfs files i'd like to "mount" so I have to juggle them around all the time.

Graphics not detected properly on Asus 1201T
The screen has a resolution of 1366x768 with a RS780M/RS780MN Radeon HD 3200 Graphics controller. It would not start X: I did manage to get X to start by replacing /etc/X11 contents with the contents that were created on Puppy511 Lucid. This got me to a 1024x768 screen maximum even though the xorg.c...

If running Ubuntu, these same apps I m trying to use in Puppy (gqview, xnview, amarok) do not differentiate between a drive/partition or a mounted share... Everything is visible in every app. I had the issue on pupeee beta 4.4, on my EEE-701 but it 'went away' in 5.1.1 after doing some permissions s...

not solved Pnethood = unseeable mounts for apps
Truly weird: If I mount a samba share, either with this tool, or from the command line, I can see the files in rox or thunar, but not with an app like gqview, or xnview they are not visible. Same with music on my mounted cifs share: they show in rox, but not in amarok or songbird? Oddly, if I run wi...

Compiling a driver using "make" in puppy 511?
I am trying to build a realtek wifi driver... not an issue for me since I have been using linux derivatives for 8+ years. I have the lupu_devx_511.sfs file loading at boot and the command make is available, but when I enter the untarred directory # cd /tmp/rtl8192se_linux_2.6.0018.1025.2010 # make m...

[solved] how do I run OpenOffice from sfs file
I have some experience with Slax and DSL. I am running pupEEE 4.2 on my EEEPC 701 and I want OpenOffice. I have tried various "pets" for OpenOffice and the latest one works initially, but one I reboot, I have to uninstall it and reinstall it (I checked /usr/bin and all the links to the pro...
