Re: Problem to keep usernames and passwords

Slimboat (1.48 / 1.49 / 1.50) does not keep usernames and passwords. Example: at each browser restart, I have to write username and password used for Murga forum. Do you have the same problem? Regards, I do not have the same problem. You might want to try Tools<Options<Privacy. You might have somet...

Two things; Don't know if they had been touched on before. First one turned out to be minor but I found out about it quite by accident. On this particular netbook, X loads but it seems to be in sleep mode so booting into 630/631 got me a blank screen. I had been reverting back to 620. Closing the li...

How hard is the checkers game? I hate chess as I want a time wasting something that I can due while my machine is doing some data crunching. I feel my machine is wasting its time if not active.. Surely it gets board waiting for me to move a mouse or scroll a window. Does anyone even play those game...

Thanks Scott. 8) Edit: After looking over what I have in my Fatdog, I realized Internet Security Helper 0.2 has 497 lines of code. Below is the applicable VPN code. I have 3 netsecurity scripts in my /usr/sbin/ directory because I tried a few different things to get it to work in my Fatdog setup. #!...

The Internet Security Helper program that you can get from the forum (I think a few threads from this one) doesn't download the password; the password listed was the current one at the time he made the script. One would have to go to vpnbook and look for the current password if this version is used....

Scott Jarvis put a little Gui program in his latest Akita Puppy iso called Internet Security Helper. OpenVPN is one of the apps/scripts in it. When the openvpn button is clicked, a terminal window opens up and a "auth username" and "auth password" prompts. A splash screen pops up...

I may be wrong in this but I remember reading about a bug that was in version 620 that has been fixed in version 630. (Version 630 is a release candidate.)

I think the bug had to do with not automatically setting the time from some universal server but I don't remember it having to do with Wary.

raffy, I think you posted in the wrong thread by mistake? Wanderer, ce2 booted fine with 3 files as the zdrv.sfs wasn't needed this time. The osmo app didn't work because it was missing a lib. Gxineshell (I think that is right) didn't work when I clicked on "Play". File not found error. Al...

I tried slimboat for the first time the other day with the old 1.1.43 SFS and flash didn't work. The new one enabled flash to work so I was watching youtube videos, etc in Slacko 5.6 and LuPu 5.2.8 version 6. Nice little browser. I got a weird error when I tried it in Fatdog. I expected a wrong Elfc...

Does anyone have a slow bootup time with a manual frugal install? I only got the vmlinuz and initrd files off the iso but 620 boots a lot faster (25-30 seconds compared with 1 minute plus) It may be something else but I think I have everything set up the same way.

Anyone getting DNS leaks?

From what I can gather, my ISP, Verizon Fios uses transparent DNS proxies. If there were no DNS leaks, there would be no mention of Verizon in the results. When I have tried this while using optimumwifi, only the vpnbook addresses were showing. This seems to be more of a Windows problem as the solut...
