macpup is very cool.. but i'm afraid i need to reinstall it abit too often cause of enlightenment...

imma try pclinuxos as soon as i get tired of trying to install papuglinux :-D

one info

hello i'm looking for a decent os for an ol computer of mine so far the worst issue i have is with graphic drivers and xorg: my gpu is an old nvidia 440 agp8x (NV17 or 18) and so far nvidia hasn't released drivers for new xorg, and i have big difficulties setting/installing/whatever the nouveau ones...

i insert the cd, make it boot from the cd, i chose setup (cannot remember exactly where) i make one 2 GB patition for swap and the rest is an ext3 or 4 for legacy, setup successfully completes, grub is correctly installed and eventually i reboot after grub all i get is a blank screen with the blinki...

Legacy OS 2 installed, boot halts at command screen

hi all,
hope this is not the wrong section for my help request..

i've run legacy os 2 live and it works very good,
but each time i install it, soon after the grub i see the blank screen with the underscore blinking .. and it won't move from that.. can this be fixed anyhow?

devx issue

hi all i've installed lupu 5.2.5, and tried to install lupu_devx_525.sfs: i've saved the file in /mnt/home (which seems to me the same as /root) and tried to tell boot setup to recognize it, but it keeps telling me that -provided there's a sfs file in mnt/home- it's not the right version i've tried ...

i've installed fluppy, then run dmesg, and didn't notice any of those errors, that mac output gave, then by chance i noticed that when i insert the mobile cable it recognizes it automatically as network... so cool.... thank you very much, you've really been too much kind and patient :oops: :oops: :o...

i've saved both cat and dmesg outputs
just i've noticed i didn't tell mobile to share the connection, but it should be the same as i've checked earlier this morning...

dmesg doesn't recognize any mobile
while cat /../devices says

using my mobile as modem

hi all
i've installed mcpup, and i'd like to use my windows mobile as a modem:
i've linked it via USB cable, chose the option to share line, but mcpup is not even recognizing the mobile as a storage device...
any clue whether/how i can succeed?
