I, also, anxiously await the dotpup. I have tried and tried installing raw (alien?) binaries and always there is something that goes wrong. So I've learned to be reliant on dotpups that come from those who know how to do these sorts of things.

It turns out that the font causing all of the problems was BradyBunch.ttf. I deleted that one and it solved my problem. Thanks for letting me know where to look!
