[SOLVED]Lucid Puppy 5.25, screen colors wrong, slightly blue
So I finally powered on my old Dell GX270 again, on which I had installed Lucid 5.25, full install. The PC should be stock hardware since it's either from my school or a friend's business, just my own hard drive. Grub menu, windows boot menu, XP, they're all fine, but when Lucid loads, the screen is...

Thanks Sylvander, yeah that adds a bit more to my understanding. To both of you, yeah bundling the drivers or slip-streaming or whatever wasn't really worth the effort. Like I said, I was just hoping there was a way to do some magic and make some things work, but I guess not. Reinstalled XP, reinsta...

Thanks guys. Yeah, that's a bit too much to go through. Like I said, I don't really mind re-installing; I was just hoping some magic could be done somehow, hehe, but I guess not. I've done two similar cloning and moving operations that worked fine, but I guess the hardware differences here are just ...

[SOLVED] Cloned multiboot; Puppy boots, Windows won’t start
Well, not really solved; basically, if the fixes offered below don't work, you just have to re-install everything. Puppy was fine so I just reinstalled Xp, then DOS, then restored GRUB. Well it's been a while since I've kept the Puppy PC aside for a while, but now I'm back. :) So this may be more o...

Re: Chromium 12 sfs
I'm in dillo 2.2.1 and when I go to your link and click download I get
"Accessing directly the download link doesn't work. The download only starts if you click from the download page.
I'll try downloading from another PC but I thought I'd report / ask aobut this. I don't know what;s going on.

SOLVED! I wonder if you are storing your puppy sfs file and preference file (the pupsave file?) in different places. Please tell us where they are! I would prefer they should be in the same place (with vmlinuz and initrd.gz) Thank you!! This along with your explanation of how it should work (along ...

k, sorry about that. Here's the new menu.lst. The windows boot doesnt work but it doesn't matter; I have my old menu.lst as backup and I can fix it. I just need puppy to boot correctly. ```````````````` #GRUB configuration file color light-gray/blue black/light-gray #default=0 #timeout=30 #splashima...

Are you writing some phantasies? Possibly. :P Sorry I didn't specify I wasn't trying to give the exact name there. I'm not at home. I'll be back home in like 5 hrs and I'll check some of these things again, and post my new menu.lst if I have to. So everyone can wait till I can check and update. Fos...

bigpup, thanks for that clarification. My mistake, I DID NOT use grub4dos. The instructions said to do the regular grub config, so I followed the steps for that, and used grub config to install to mbr. I tried renaming my folder from LucidPuppy252Rhoi to LuPu525Rhoi (11chars) and even to just LuPu52...

Thanks for the reply and welcome. :) I do have in my post that I'm running Lucid Puppy 5.2.5; you can also see it in my menu.lst. I have an nLite-customized version of XP, and it's slimmed down. It runs slow, but decent. I will keep it there until I know if Puppy will be enough or if I like some oth...

Frugal Puppy won't boot, Error 15: file not found (Solved)
[ RESOLUTION : Keep your save file (.2fs or.3fs, ) in same folder as your frugal install's .sfs file, which is also where vmlinuz and initrd is. IF this doesn't work, then read on; hopefully the other suggestions in this topic will help.] Hi everyone, if all goes well hopefully I'll be a new Puppy u...
