Sometimes it is nice to live in a town of 5000 people near the Montana-North Dakota border. We'd be the last place to get robot markets, if ever. We don't even have a McDonald's or a Starbucks.

Here is some info from WineHQ.org https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=37103 This person says he got it working in Wine. Look at test results for info on what was done. If this is a Windows PC game. What version of Windows, Wine is emulating, can have a big affect on ho...

@bugman-2.0 I remember forum member 'bugman', from way back. Just checked, bugman last posted in 2012, and 'bugman-2.0' appeared on the forum in 2012. So, you must be the same person! I guess that you had a login problem with the old username? Anyway, welcome back. Thanks, Barry! Yeah, memory issue...

The horror of Windows 10...

A friend bought me a game on Steam, and it won't work with Linux. So, I got the idea to install Windows 10. My God. How do people deal with that? From the talking assistant to the Candy Crush Soda Saga to the dozen questions asking you "How may we sell your information today?" I've never b...

Please identify the new Puppy that worked. I'm guessing that your success has less to do with the version of CUPS and more to do with the ancient version of Ghostscript in Precise. It is upgradeable if you want to stay with Precise. Sorry again. Tahrpup 6.0.5 I'm very bad at this sort of thing. :oo...

Please explain - are you reporting success or failure? If it failed with a certain version of CUPS, what was it? If it works with a different version, what is it? Eventual success, both from not using the deb as per usual and the newer Pup/CUPS. CUPS is 1.7.5, not sure what the version on Precise 5...

How to install a Pantum laser printer in Puppy.

I bought one of those cheapo Pantum monochrome laser printers from NewEgg ($35) as I am barely capable of writing any more. Anyway, installing it screwed up my CUPS, so I thought I'd pass along my tips. Download the drivers from http://global.pantum.com/global/drive_tag/drive/ Extract until you get ...

I did the Wheezy thing, and installed the jack. It just gives error messages. I was hoping to use the computer as a guitar amp, but...just went and bought an amp. More money, less headache. :D
