I solved a sound problem with Tahrpup 6.0 by blacklisting the pc speaker module/driver. Went throught the bootmanager menu. Dropdown Menu has a list of modules loaded.

I make wifi calls using google hangouts. Works great.

You need to find a working chromium pet for your system.
You need to get a google voice number.

I had a similar problem.

It turned out that the usb drive wasn't ready on bootup so fatdog couldn't find the savefile.

I needed to add boot option

waitdev=n where n is number of seconds to wait for usb to be ready


waitdev=5 worked for me
