Re: nice

Fin You have made the correct change. You can go back in with nano and see what you now have. You can alternatively use the command less instead of nano to simply list the contents of the file. I always save in nano by using cntrl O then confirm the file then exit. I did not realize you can just ex...

Do you mean you have the music library on the HDD on the mpdPup machine? Yes; would like to compare SQ between local 2.5 Hdd to musiclibrary over network - as well as have the possibility to bring the machine to friends for listening (have the ability to connect KVM if necessary). Will check out Fi...

luisb and jrling: When You recommend option "1-Local storage with SSD, just usb DAC connected" as the best sounding way to use MpdPup - do you run this configuration Headless (playback controlled from client on another pc on network) or with keyboard/Video/mouse connected to Mpd-machine? r...

There's no way to do this through the setup wizards, but if you want to test Secret Rabbit Code it's just a matter of hand-editing mpd.conf to enable it for a sound output. Editing mpd.conf is fine with me; libsamplerate working fine.. SOX, however, is causing a "connection refused" error...

Upsampling is included. 0.9.2 had Secret Rabbit Code built in and configurable in the audio-output section and Idolese has now included SOX upsampling in 0.9.3 with multiple audio-outputs for each SOX setting. I find both excellent enhancements to 44.1/16 files, which is all I have. Is there a way ...

Re: ERROR

Thanks for your answer, will try to clarify: What 'abovementioned' error are you referring to? If mpc listall is working then then I would guess it's a soundcard issue. If you attempt to play an album does mpc or ncmpc show that it's actually playing (regardless of whether you hear it). Did you type...
