The subject description says it all. Is the Automagic firewall good enough or should I assign a password to root as well as create a user with their own password. I tried spot and a lot of things stopped working.

Puppy sure runs wild. All Linuxes I know include the setterm utility to change the console look, except Puppy! Term colours change
This works for Lucid (but not Fatdog). Right click on console icon and click Edit Item then in window under Arguments to pass (for executable): type -bg black -fg white Close

Hi fellow Kauler disciple. I installed SM 2.15.1 by unzip- untaring the downloaded SM file in the Puppy 2.5.2 /usr/lib dir and it works fine. It could be a memory problem. I had all sorts of weird crashes until I eliminated a bad memory address. Run memtest and make sure the hardware is perfect. :)

Which and where R script files, inserting paths for .png or .jpg icon files, to create icon on desktop for apps. After installing latest Firefox and Seamonkey browsers into /usr/lib dir, both must be launched from inside a terminal prompt window. HOW2 launch from desktop? BTW Thanx L18L
