This is curious.
I was asked 3 times for password when creating pupsave file.

take in mind that problem with limited possible write cycles on flash drives. After a hd install there will be much ofter written to your flash drive than with a frugal install. This will decrease thumb drives expectancy of life. So it is not recommendet. But if u want just make full hd install with...

I encountered the same behaviour. In contrast to the 2.16 behaviour a Puppy 2.00 writes immediately to the save file when flushing. There seems to be another difference too. If i wrote in Puppy 2.00 to /initrd/mnt/dev_save everything was writen at once on media! In 2.16 it seems not to be possible a...

Abiword Fullscreen Bug
Hi! A bug when switching to fullscreen mode in Abiword. Probably abiword application specific. Switching in Abiword to fullscreen with f11 or menu entry makes the upper half of document covered grey. Switching back to normal mode the grey is still there. Scrolling up and down document pushes grey aw...

Hi Im considering to buy this writer too. Did u try with DVD-RAM too? The LG is capable writing DVD-RAM as far as i know. (In this case the DVD should be written to like your hard drive) Would be interesting if u can boot from a DVD-RAM or even make full Puppy hd install (not frugal) on it! Greetings

It seems to depend on the ehci-hcd Kernel module. If inside the PC is a Usb-hub Puppy tries using the ehci-hcd module (instead of the uhci-hcd module) it uses for the Hub also for the flash device. It seems to vary in belong of which kind of USB hub is used. More Kritical seem the hub which are not ...
