Has anyone had any luck in getting paint.net working in wine?
I think that the latest version of mono might run paint.net
Where do you get the latest version of the mono pet.
Or is there a way to install Microsoft's .NET Framework 4.7.1 in wine offline?

Pet vs dkpg install?
I have been researching and wonder about which is better: Pet vs Dkpg install. Does alien2puppy use the deb's install script, or does it simply extract the deb to the extract directory? Does Xenialpup's dkpg install use the deb's install script? How does this compare to a pet install? After installi...

Smallest 32 bit kernel with multiprocess support?
What is the smallest working 32 bit kernel with multiprocessor support? Have been trying to make a bare-bones xenilapup. Was looking at racypuppy. It's kernel is pretty small. Around 5 mb. Been looking at the latest xenialpup kernel's. The kernels are around 80 mb. This seems way too bloated in size.

Did some experimenting. Turns out you can edit the packages in the woof-out folder to take things out. One question can you add a package to the local repository, and put that into distro_specs ? Just figured out why the slacko puppy is smaller. It seems to use a xf86 server. I am thinking using xve...

Have a question about packages?
Trying to make a bare bones slacko. Was looking at DISTRO_PKGS_SPECS and noticed that it didn't really show separate libraries for gcc. For example gcc in packages-slacko take up about 100 mb. Don't need gcc, only need about 3 libraries taking up about 3 to 4 mb. If I edit the gcc packages to only i...

There is very few packages puppy package manager. I think I looked and did not see any. Don't know which version of slackware is in the latest official slacko puppy 32 bits. Am thinking, that the slackware versions might have been different. Just created a woof-ce slacko for a new version of kodipup...

This code was originally in _00build.conf , I never changed it.
How would the above code affect chroot?
Been doing some research, and the error seems to be associated with chroot.
Maybe there should be a mount -bind before it?
Code: Select all
rm -r lib64
ln -s lib lib64

Install ubuntu repos on debian?
Has any tried to add a ppa to debian stretch. You ask why you would do that? I'll tell you why. I manage to install kodi, but apt-get install --no-install-recommends added a lot of un-need packages. Kodi has it's own built in python interpeter, and apt-get installed python 2.7, python 3, python 3.6....

Xenialpup64 refuses to use save folder
I was using a save folder just fine. Tried to reboot and could not reboot, so I shut down the computer manually. Xenialpup64 cashed. So I used, one of my other puppies in multi-boot to get to the desktop and rename the the save folder. Now I could boot up xenialpup64, but it refuses to use a save fo...

Puppy beats debian stretch.
Even with Debian Stretch minimal install, puppy still beats debian stretch in it's minimal size.
Doesn't all the files get stripped, before a puppy is created?
The script needs to modified, so the files are stripped, before creating the iso.
