I tried all the instructions while on Live CD with a save file to my HDD, but it did not work.

With the commands module b43 and module wl, I got "not found".

Will it reboot into safe-mode ? Yes, it will restart if in safemode. I think I have figured out the problem. I updated a program called Dsynchronize. If it is set to auto start when XP starts, then it creates this problem. I will need to contact the developer about this bug with the updated version...

It shuts down fine.
It just won't restart automatically when I set it to restart when I log off.
This seems to be the opposite problem that most people experience with shut down issues.
