LUPU was one of the best pups released in terms of ease in use. However, everything went downhill once I installed the NVIDIA driver (173 for FX5500 Video Card). The screen flickered, window decoration became red and I lost the taskbar. No option for refresh rate was available in the screen ...

TEENpup is one of the most usable puppy derivatives. It's GUI is well-thought out. Launching apps is very convenient and easy and...it looks good. I have TEENpup mini running on a P3 machine. I haven't had any problem with it since it was installed.

Keep up the good work John.

It's not impossibly difficult. It's just not done the same way as Windows. Here's how I did it. Fire up rox file manager, navigate to the folder /usr/bin and look for the file named google-chrome (or is it chrome?) and drag it to the desktop. A symlink will be created. This will become the chrome ...

I really don't care much about XP look myself but since the thread starter asked for it, I tweaked QNOP to that effect.

When everything else fails, just go to www.meebo.com. Haven't tried their voice/video chat features though.

Thanks for the heads-up on Kooldock.

Look awesome. I'm a long-time TEENpup fan and is always excited to hear from you.

Just a question though, is there a way of adding a launcher to the Kooldock without having to manually edit its configuration file? (sort of drag and drop)

More power to you.

You can just set the CUPS password by firing up RXVT console, then type the following:

passwd cupsys root (assuming you are running as root, otherwise, substitute "root" with your username.

You will be prompted for the new CUPS password. Type in the new password, confirm.

Thanks for this .pet. One thing I noticed is that the Standard Toolbar is not persistent. What I mean is that when I enable the Standard Toolbar, it disappears again the next time I open OOO4kids.

Other than that it works well and is light. Keep up the good work.

Thanks again ttuuxxx. Unfortunately my hard drive died a few hours after I tested your latest pet. Next package request: Giver . It is a small file sharing utility that allows you to "give" files to other computers in a network (also running Giver) without having to set up an ftp server or pnethood.
