This is Piotr Grabowski's Giubiasco free sample set for Hauptwerk and GrandOrgue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44ZZxLhvotc This IS the GrandOrgue software. The Giubiasco sampleset is larger than a gig, maybe larger than 2G. The demo sampleset included with the GrandOrgue package is about 21MB. Ed...

This is a recording of a Trumpet tune played using Hauptwerk.

GrandOrgue is a free open source alternative to Hauptwerk.
Not quite as good.

There is human speech. And there is electronic imitation of human speech. For example: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/2d/ESpeakNG_intro_by_eSpeakNG_in_English.ogg from: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ESpeak Real human speech is a very complicated and mathematically imperfect sound, which...

By the way, you could install the sfs instead of loading it, like this: cd /tmp/ unsquashfs /mnt/home/GrandOrgue-0.3.1.2330.154b-BionicPup64-8.0-x86_64.sfs rsync -a /tmp/squashfs-root/ / This assumes the GrandOrgue.sfs file is in /mnt/home/ I think there is a program to install .sfs files as opposed...

I should really open a new thread in the software packages section. I configured GO in the Audio Output tab to use the ALSA analog output (because that is what I'm using, as opposed to HDMI which is not being used) and GO has exclusive use of the sound card, that is, mpv can't play the sound track o...

You can play midi files through the organs(s). For example: # aplaymidi -l Port Client name Port name 14:0 Midi Through Midi Through Port-0 # # aplaymidi -p 14:0 BarberAdagio.mid You would probably need to configure a keyboard manually. velocity range 1-127 Easier to set it to respond to all channel...

All that pfix=nox does is create a file in /tmp named bootcnt.txt

If /tmp/bootcnt.txt exists, then /root/.profile will not run xwin.

In the pdf help, it says you can use jack, but it's not necessary. GrandOrgue has support for the native audio APIs and jack adds complexity to the sound output stack. Therefore avoid running jack, unless you want to use GrandOrgue together with other jack applications. Once you get the gui running,...

BionicPup64's arp_scan oui hardware list is about 7 years old. /usr/sbin/get-oui is a perl script to update the oui list, but it doesn't work because of a missing module. This is a simple shell script that does about the same thing as the perl script. To scan for devices on your network: arp-scan -l...

I copied the files from /initrd/pup_ro2/root/.jwm to pup_rw/root.jwm. Was that right? No, not really. It's safe to copy from pup_rw but aufs (the layered file system) doesn't like it if you change things behind it's back in pup_rw. It probably won't do any harm but it's best to reboot immediately a...

everything EXCEPT no launch panel at the bottom of the screen The launch panel is part of jwm. It has nothing to do with rox. rox -p 1 did nothing at all.
Then the PuppyPin file is probably ok, not corrupted.

But rox may not be working,
That should show you a black desktop with one Home icon at the upper left corner. It may be covered by whatever it is causing your problem.
