In Puppy.

Open a terminal and type in:

route -n

this should give you a couple of rows of info with headings:

Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface

the second row should have your gateway address.

I have Lucid 520 installed in a Varbatim 2G pen drive and the /mnt/home directory contains the below.

while the dir /usr/lib contains:

libXss.so libXss.so.1 and libXss.so.1.0.0

the first two are symbolic links to libXss.so.1.0.0

I installed from a live CD using the Universal installer.

How many Linux users expect to ' make use of sdo or su or similar '.

By the way it is 'sudo ' SUPER USER which is usually /root ' or in that other terminology ADMINISTRATOR.

This sounds a bit crude but you could always just switch off the machine, unless of course there is a reason that is not suitable to your situation.

I don't know if this will affect your pen drive's file system.

Have you looked at the ' ISO Master iso file editor' in Start/Multimedia.

It gives you the option to rebuild the ISO and create a new one without altering the original.

When you first shut down a pen drive it asks you if you want to save your settings and gives you the option of creating a save file.

trying to use the same pupsave from my usbdrive to play warcraft 3 on 2 different computer

if are you swapping your USB drive from one computer to another you would have to reset the video mode.

Or you could use 2 pupsave files, one for each machine.

The command is ' l ' as in ' lower case L ' for ' Linux Dynamic' loader not i or I.

Can you boot from a live CD and mount the flash drive, if so, when you do this, it should open in the file manager and show all the files for Puppy.

This is where your .sfs files reside and you should see them all including your save file xxx.2fs.
