Thanks to you Michalis, your new pet works fine on lucid 5.1...one thing I've noticed different from 2.04 is that now the executable is "transmission-gtk", where before it was "transmission"...so I suggest uninstalling 2.04 before installing 2.10, in order not to have 2 transmiss...

Just wanted to tell you that in lucid 5.1 is working fine, apart for the notifications, that don't appear :o (station info, song info, etc...)

How to create a jwm directory launcher? (solved)

Hi everybody, just asking, as of title, if anybody knows how to create a taskbar button that opens a sort of popup showing some customizable directories...something like the launcher that kde4 has (if someone has seen it...)

Restore minixcal

I don't know if someone has already suggested this, but in lucid puppy minixcal has disappeared...I used to find very useful and logic to click on the clock and have a little calendar showing me the days of the month, as it was in 4.31...personally I have restored it back taking the app from 4.31 an...

Hi everything fine for me, very nice music app! Thanks jemimah! One only "cosmetic" issue...enabling the tray icon doesn't work...the tray creates an empty space but there is no icon and clocking on it produces nothing...I'm on ttuuxxx's puppies4.30 (puppy 4.31)

Hi, I'm trying V3, great work ttuuxxx, as always  A few things: 1. you didn't update Viewnior, did you forget it or it was by choice? 2. I personally would have added transmission, ok it takes a second for the user to install it as a pet, but since you were repacking it all... 3. SM2 works fin...

Not able to compile gxine

Hi everybody..on Puppies4.30, trying to compile latest gxine, ./configure stops always at this point:

Code: Select all

checking which logo format to use... configure: error: no available demuxer for the logo image - rebuild/reinstall xine-lib?
Any idea? Or, if someone has already compiled it, can he share it?
Thanks

Yes, I know it, since I'm using your puppies 4.3.1.... :) and I repeat that, apart from the seamonkey>firefox switching (because it's too radical), I think your puplet has the best choice of apps, and should be a great base to work on new official puppy.

Agree with you gerry, Puppy IS mainly: Seamonkey Abiword Gnumeric Gxine Rox So, any discussion about changing this architecture in this topic is out of place. That said however, I think that in a 4.32 there can be enough place for applications, libs, kernel updates (although Barry says kernel won't ...
