chm file viewer

A chm file viewer would be a helpful inclusion in Puppy. A lot of digital computer books come in the Windows chm (help file) format so the Linux viewer for this would be great.

frugal install and boot manager

Sorry, the files mentioned above for Puppy 2.17 should have been: pup_save.2fs, pup_217.sfs, and zdrv_217.sfs. I have since downloaded devx_217.sfs, the kernel-src_217.sfs, and EZpup217. EZpup installed OK, put new icons on the desktop, and put Open Office applications in the menu instead of icons ...

As one person said, Puppy is primarily designed as a memory-based distro - either by running in RAM, or by a frugal install and working from the CD/RAM. Puppy has conquered the minimalist RAM side of an operating system. But it is too concentrated on RAM use / frugal install.
