Again it depends on what you want to do - I do a lot of "bulk" resizing - generation of quick email resolutios etc. I have yet to find anything on Linux.
I do use Photoelf www.photoelf.com under WINE - it works fine and is just as fast under puppy as under WinXP

Hi I have sucesfully managed this and will share it - the trick (I think) is to start after the Xserver, but before the JWM windows manager...
