Some progress. I managed to find a w35und.sys driver for win9x which works with ndiswrapper. found here: http://www.megasphera.cz/upgrade/prg_upg/Utility/USB-serial/WLAN/ISSC/Driver/Win9X/ Now I can see my network but not connect as the wifi here is WPA2 encrypted, it seems Win9x drivers do not supp...

@tempestuous Thanks for compiling the module. It sucessfully installed and loaded and I now have wlan0 visible in the network wizard. However, I am in Europe and the wlan scan comes up empty. When I do the iwpriv command to set Europe region it returns the following: #iwpriv wlan0 set_region Europe ...

@tempestuous In your earlier post here: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=295294#295294 You had posted a pet for the "w35und" driver for the Winbond W89C35D wifi device for Puppy 4.1 Do you have an updated version for 4.3? I am trying to get a Amtek T700 UPMC working with pu...

Just a note that the download link for the ATI Driver package on Page 1 seems to be broken. Ati-Catalyst-8.12-xorg7.4-k2.6.27.5.pet The [Download] link points to: http://puppy@linux/isos/2008-07-to-12/Puppy-4-K2.6.27.5/iso-01/Addons-by-MU-02/addons-2/Ati-Catalyst-8.12-xorg7.4-k2.6.27.5.pet But it sh...

Thanks for the ideas. I've been through the BIOS and the only option is to disable the Marvell IDE. Under SATA configuration, the SATA controller (Intel ICH9) can only be configured as IDE or Disabled, there are no other options (this board does not have RAID). I've tried those and none of them make...

Marvell PATA & P35 Chipset
Hi, I originally posted this over in the 'beginners' forum 'cause I thought it was a simple booting question but now it seems more hardware related so i'll ask in here as well. My new motherboard, An Asus P5K SE, uses a Marvell 88SE6111 chip to provide a single IDE connector on the mobo (the Intel I...

Re: Puppy cannot read .sfs files from CDROM on P35 chipset
How did you arrive at that presumption? It was an 'educated' guess! I read in the Ubuntu forums that there were 'difficulties' getting the Marvell IDE to work on the 7.04 release of Ubuntu. I have Ubuntu 7.10 on the computer and it works fine (Ubuntu was installed BEFORE I upgraded the motherboard,...

Puppy cannot read .sfs files from CDROM on P35 chipset
I've been a long time user of puppy it's my favorite OS. The problem I have is that it doesn't work on my new motherboard (ASUS P5K SE). ASUS uses a Marvell 88SE6111 chip to provide a single IDE port on the motherboard. When I try to boot puppy 3.01 from a CD-R on that IDE channel I get past the boo...
