solved: autorun CD/DVD drive
My CD/DVD drive doesn't work on autoplay. I have had some success manually mounting the drive and going into the disc's content to play with Gixne.
I've always had a hard time doing searches in the Puppy forums as the results often have nothing to do with my search. I end up Googling it.
Thanks.

Because this printer also has a USB port, I would recommend that you first get it working as a local printer. This will help you find the right driver. Some wireless routers have a print server built in. If yours does, you could connect the printer through it. Thanks. Turned printer off/on. I conne...

Does the above link indicate that this printer can not be used wirelessly with Puppy or any other distro?
I just removed the regular hplip and installed the hpliplite-1.8.12 successfully.

Re: hp wireless
Does the HP printer come configured with a set ip address? Not that I'm aware of but.... On my XP desktop PC connected to the wireless printer via USB I see in control panel HP Photosmart C4500 series (61.81.635.0). Would that be the ip address? If so what are the steps for setup, starting with &qu...

But some Broadcom wifi devices, especially those found in Dell and HP notebooks, are notorious for failing to work with these drivers. For these troublesome devices the proprietary Broadcom hybrid driver will likely work better. Now attached. Works great on an old Dell B120. Thanks. You wouldn't be...
