I've have always historic rotten luck with pburn, or puppy's included "burnISO2cd". Both programs, across any puppy, just eat & waste new discs like nothing else.
I've tried laptop-built-in CD/DVD players, and external USB cd/DVD players. And I've tried different CD/DVD disc manufacturers and the same thing.
What can it be? Here is an example, using 700mb CD with an external USB player that works across all my other Linux distributions (from Manjaro/Fedora to Debian to Ubuntu).
Here's the log I get, and a pic follows of where it stops: Thank you in advance for anyone looking at this and can see what is going on (this happens in Tahr, Xenial, Dpups, etc----pBurn & burnISO2cd just eat all different mftr discs no matter what cd/dvd players I use):
