I recently installed BionicPup 8 64 bit (live on a USB thumb drive) on my Dell Latitude D620 laptop and it is working well with sound in the laptop and Palemoon.
However, I also installed Firefo 69.0.2 and apulse. FF works fine, but I have no sound. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that did not correct the problem. (I installed these on another thumb drive and the sound worked fine.)
Note: the letter that comes after the letter "W" does not work on my key board.

Firefox seems to never be happy with what it needs for sound to work.
Uninstall whatever firefox you have installed by using Puppy Package Manager(PPM)
PPM>uninstall
May also need to uninstall Apulse.
On the desktop is Quickpet icon.
Install Firefox offered there.

The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected

It updated to form FF 62 to FF 69.0.1, but now whenever I open FF it tries to update again but doesn't more beyond 69.0.1. I previously had 69.0.2 installed.
Thanks for the help.
Thank you for this information.backi wrote:Maybe have a look here:
