Installed Firefox, now how do I put its icon on the desktop?

#1 Post by don1500 »

I've loaded Puppy, got it working. Now I want Firefox, seamonkey just doesn't do it for me.
I downloaded firefox, expanded it into it's own folder, got it working, now How do I place a short cut on the desktop?

Find the "firefox" file inside where you installed it and simply drag it to the desktop. Then, right-click the desktop icon to change the icon and drag whichever icon you want into that.

it is not likely to work if you drag the file from any other file manager than Rox ... you are dragging to the desktop from a Rox window, right?

Try the video help files

I found the video help files covered this topic really well. I'm a newbie and this worked for me the first try:

There are a few places where the creator goes a bit quickly but you can step backwards on it as often as you like.
