strange request...

This might be unusual request :oops: and chances are I get a reply from alienjeff :P
anyway here goes nothing..............

would any of puppy's great guys who just love to code and compile help wolven


The modem driver needs to be compiled for the 2.6.21.5 kernel present in the RC. I'll see what I can do for you.

It's a bit of a dark art getting some older drivers to compile with recent kernels. Yeah, I compiled it for the 2.6.21.5 kernel. I've attached the source. Some files are modified and you will see my initials 'BK' where I have made changes.

Note, it does work. I tested on a Thinkpad laptop.

d/l and burnt Wolvix Hunter yesterday and I must say I am very impressed, esp. with the control panel that sets up X, frugal or full install, etc. Also sound and internet straightaway.

I dunno, maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that the willingness to help with other distros, whenever possible, would enhance reputations. Not damage them.
