How to connect Puppy & XP computers via parallel port?

Can someone tell me how to hook up a Puppy Linux desktop and an Windows XP Laptop using direct cable connection with the Parallel port? The laptop is set up to accept connections.

Well, i cant figure out how to get it to work. Does anyone else have any ideas?

if it's just for file transfer, can't you use mc-link? (i don't have any access to an xp machine so wouldn't have a clue whether mc-link can mount an ntfs drive...although i'm dubious).

otherwise, for file transfer, if you had a couple of suitable vfat partitions at either end, you could use a dos boot disk & file maven.

otherwise, there are proprietary solutions available...or, if you can find one that works with puppy, usb link.
