Imposter OO Impress player

#1 Post by kurtchristie »

Imposter 00 Impress player (using 3.01) is not able to open PowerPoint files.

A window pops up to advise that it "cannot fine zip signature"

Bet this has come up before. Can anyone direct me to the solution?

I've never encountered that error message before...but then I can't recall the last time I used impress...maybe a year ago?

Have a look at this thread for possible alternatives to using impress:

Including java-based tonicpoint, online powerpoint conversion, or using windows viewers via wine. I'm sure that there are also online powerpoint viewers for this hideous format! (When I was at uni a year ago, I formed the impression that there was an inverse relationship between the quality of the lecture, and the proportion of powerpoint slides).

muggins, thank you! :-}

I think an online solution will work best for me.
