Anyone compiled Thunar-Volman?

Does anyone have this? Tried to compile it but didnt work. I got a package from slackware but Thunar says that i have to build thunar-vfs with HAL support. Any ideas?

I was able to compile thunar-vfs with HAL support. But it still doesnt work. It seems that the hal daemon wont load. I execute the /etc/rc.d/rc.hal start. It says that it loaded successfully but when I look at the process list, it is not there. Any ideas?

I could really do with this as well as i see this as a good replacement for mut or pmount.

Anybody with some good ideas?
