initrd.gz question

#1 Post by mrkcee »

I was trying to upgrade the squashfs and unionfs patches for the 2.6.21.7 kernel for puppy. I was able to compile it successfully. My question is that where do I put the new .ko files? Do I placed them in the initrd.gz in the lib/modules directory? Another question: why do my initrd.gz file became 11MB when I edited it compared to ~2MB when not edited? I used the instructions found in the release page of 3.00 (cpio..)

:D
