A month or two ago there was a thread like this, where many of the forum regulars told where they were from.

haha, Most people will not understand this comment. For people in the tropics this reads like: "One day it may be cold, the next one cold again".

One of this days I will take the train to Banf. And go to the stampeede, of course.

It definitely reads that way to me as a North Carolinian.

Here in NC during the winter it could be up to 70 degrees one day and then below freezing a day or two later.

When I lived in England, one minute it was sunny. 15 minutes later, you couldn't see your hand in front of your face, 15 minutes after that, it was raining, 15 minutes after that... back to sunshine.

Paul - born the year after the transistor was invented - that makes me 56. Born in Holland, lived in the states (several of them actually ;)), Germany and finally Sweden for the last 30 years.

I'm retired and live with my wife in the beautiful Swedish countryside many miles (or kilometers ;)) from the nearest city, surrounded by forest, with chickens, a rabbit, a couple of Shropshire sheep and geese (our lawnmowers).

I'm 17, and I now live in semi-urban southeast USA. I grew up on a farm in Minnesota, though. As a result, I'm a wierd melding of oldskool and modern stuff. I love computers, but I don't trust them farther than I can throw my old 30 lb monitor. I also listen to everything from country to disco to new-rock. When I get through college, I'll probably head back north, but for now I have to finish good old highschool.
