Xorg and Puppy v4

I have an old Dell laptop which, until now, has supported the Xorg choices when booting Puppy. Version 2.x and 3.x both allowed me to choose an 800x600 screen. However since installing Puppy v4 I can no longer use those options. I am having to use the Xvesa option to see anything at all.

Can anyone suggest a solution?
