need a ftp command at command line (what if xwin down ?)

Do you have the busybox programs ftpget & ftpput on your system?
Or, for a more robust ftp, Wolf Pup has a .pet of lftp here:

Why not use midnight commander? It's easy to use, cli based, and has support for ftp, ftp over ssh etc. Actually in my opinion it's the best filemanager there is. Actually it's the only ftp client that works for me.
Easier to use, especially if you wanna use it as backup for when xwin is down, and you have to find out the commands for your cli ftp client.
get the pet here:

(thanks to Mark, mu)

OK go tp lftp and mc
@deniros
@muggins
I have ftpget, ftpput but I do not really understand the purpose. I usually use ftp in manually way where I need typically ls, bin, (m)get, hash, (m)put....
So I will go to lftp
