Well they (the govt) shouldn't be using wake-on-LAN.....or have open ports that let you upload apps and configure them.

You know you've been on the computer too long when...

your computer puts in for a holiday.

You've been using it so long it's now an AI, and has all kinds of workers rights like statutory holidays per year.

You get an e-mail on the computer in the living room from the computer in the bedroom complaining about being lonely.

Your chihauhau has his own e-mail account and sends you an instant message twice a day that he wants to go for a walk.

You enter an unfamiliar building on campus looking for a new classroom, and sorely miss [Ctrl]-[f].

Somebody gives you and old PDA, and after an hour or so of googling you determine that installing Linux on it will not be trivial, and since you don't have time for it right now you install the Windows version of NetHack on it to play between classes or anytime you are not with your computer and haven't a book handy.

When walking around campus between classes and what not, you observe the buildings and consider how you could better fortify them against potential goblin sieges.

While waiting for a lab checkoff, you glance out the window on a warm sunny day, and your first thought is, "HEY! That dude has a pick-axe! 1337ness!!!11" (Referring of course to a construction worker who did in fact have, and was wielding, a pick-axe.)

You wonder why your whiteboard doesn't have tab support yet. Lazy programmers...

You seriously consider using cron as your alarm clock, but decide having your computer on all night would be a waste of electricity and anyways your computer needs sleep even more than you do.

Your main concern when preparing for a flight is whether the TSA people will see all the wires in your pack and suspect it to be a bomb. Because of course, you have random circuit boards and misc. components in there in addition to your normal cables and whatnot.

You decide that the world really is flat. Magellan simply exploited an integer overflow.

You spend significant portions of your free time between classes determining the most efficient way to keep track of the locations of thousands of objects in three dimensional space while minimizing the calculations needed to do collision detection between them, and do not think this is strange.

You type all of the above and are proud of it.

You are disappointed to find that the Google image search turns up no harmonicas that do have a USB port. :(

Though, apparently those long-skinny usb hubs are called "harmonica style".
