Multi-Boot Live CD's

#1 Post by XiaolinDraconis »

Been hoping someone could show me how to do this. i want to put 2 or 3 puppy builds onto one cd and at boot up select which image to boot from the disc... sounds crazy maybe but it would be pretty useful... i wanna setup one cd with 2 puppies and UBCD. any ideas?

use one of these "puplets" as a template

http://puppylinux.org/downloads/puplets/retro-pup-103

http://puppylinux.org/downloads/puplets ... fancy-1211

click on the iso to mount it
copy it to a folder
delete boot.cat (it will automatically replace later)
replace puplets with yours
edit isolinux.cfg for your puplets
download and run dir2iso on the folder (dir2iso is available in the forum)
burn iso to cd or dvd

p.s. sorry about the long download ... just makes it easier to explain
Check out my github repositories. I may eventually get around to updating my blogspot.

I guess bcdw is the best for creating multiboot cd/dvd.
You can find here how to do it http://bootcd.narod.ru/index_e.htm or http://www.ubcd4win.com/faq.htm

Some of my collections on a DVD:
Puppy412-vbox/wine, puppy400-3in1, austrumi, dsl44, nimblex2008, geexbox12, ubcd4win, H.bootCD95, ghost2003 for sata, TrueImg, maybe already more than 30 images.

Actually you can add up everything as you wish.

You should be able to juggle various distros & remaster the CD

you may find this helps, too

Just created a multiboot dvd (total ~4.2 Gb).
Messy menu display, but everything works fine.
