Any advice, recommendations for a web server?

Hey,

Im looking to setup a test server with Apache, PHP and MySQL. PHP version 5.2 minimum and MySQL version 5.
I looked at xlampp but thats huge with allot of features I don't need. I also found lighttp with PHP 5.2 but not MySQL.
Can anyone recommend what they are using, how they got to it, and what works best.

All would be very much appreciated.
