XFBURN burns Data-musicCD-ISO-Erases CD !!! 512kb pet :)
Well I spent all day on this and the size of the package is amazing for what you get, it comes with its own burning libs, which is really over the top. I tried it out by erasing a cdrw and then burning a puppy iso image and it was fast and worked perfect, So enjoy. I know I will
PS I'm not sure about the DVD section, I might have to add gstreamer, But I do know it works great on CD's, I'll make another package tomorrow with Gstream also.

okay this is made up of 9 different programs , xfce alone is 2.4MB pet min, then theres a burning engine, etc, add dbus to compile and then removed it after, Thats whats amazing that its 1/5 of just one of the programs. If I included 100% of all the packages the pet used here and not even the full xfce WM, just what I needed the pet would be 6MB. So this program is 1/12 the original size before I started stripping and removing so much and you don't need to change your window manager or version of puppy to use itmagerlab wrote:xfburn was already used in gray's pupplets (NOP and boxpup).
it's one of the xfce4 apps

ttuuxxx if you need gstream library, I have just compiled but for i686 only, i guess you need i486, anyway are stored here:

I am interested to xfburn with DVD support, because I get problem with DVD using pburn, often after formatted the DVD cannot be read anymore. Is a limit of Pburn with DVD?

Is it possible to burn multisession?

Right now no. I can easily add support to create multisession discs (I
think I'll change the default to do that), but continuing multi
session discs needs a bit more support. I'll put that on the TODO
list.
does it write DVDs?
Nothing been added to this thread for a few months now. Did you get xfburn working with DVDs? You were saying something about Gstreamer.
I have nothing against Zigbert at all, but, having gone through the painful process of using Gtkdialog myself for some programs, I would rather avoid it altogether! Gtkdialog appears convenient and attractive at first, but in anything but the simplest app it soon becomes messy and, yes, a real nuisance when it comes to zombie processes left running and so on (kludgy to remove to say the least). It isn't impossible to tame Gtkdialog, but is it worth the effort?
[Actually, I think Gtkdialog is fine for something very basic, like Pwget, but the problem is, it has been over-promoted on Puppy for bigger tasks it isn't really suited for. A simple Gtkdialog frontend with some buttons and a file select takes but a few minutes to write, and that's great, but try to do more than that and use something else I say!]

Re: does it write DVDs?
Hi Thanks for the input and I agree with you 100% on gtkdialog, its great for tiny apps, but things like Pburn, Pfind, Pmusic pushes it beyond its limits and turns into a resource mess.mcewanw wrote:Nothing been added to this thread for a few months now. I'm in the middle of moving from 4 series into 5, Once I figure out which 5 series will be my next os choice then I'll build a newer updated version wit gstreamer included. Or if I go back to 4 series for something I'll look into recompiling all those packages again

Hi hanzf try running it from the command line, type xfburnhanzf wrote:I use puppy 4.1.2 from a live cd with a pup_save file. Pburn works but if you ask me the GUI plainly sucks (sorry)
and if you get a error report it back, that version should of worked for you, If it doesn't give you a error, uninstall it and try the larger/newer version located at http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 25&t=44040
