multiuser
Perhaps the context of "multiuser" is the possibility of starting the system without root being logged in. This runs along the fears of having root as the default user while the server is running. As a solution, it is usually argued that the server can be run as user nobody, so the issue of root is moot.
Puppy user since Oct 2004. Want FreeOffice? Get the sfs (English only).

Hi puppymartin,
Interesting project you have.
I mirrored it here...I hope you don't mind.
http://puppylinux.ca/members/WebserverPuppy/
Would you be so kind to let me know when you have updates so I can keep it current (In case I miss new files).
Any plans for adding Apache? I think this maybe of use for me to go portable.
Thanks
Eric

No plans for an Apache-version. What do you mean by "go portable"? Laptop ?

This looks pretty great
I was thinking maybe a pet or sfs with Gimp, Inkscape, Kompozer, F4L
maybe another for different web browsers
and another for others that most don't use like xara, scribus,
mainly for web developers and testing rigs.

Thanks for creating this.
I was going to ask the same questions - "any firewalls, webmin etc planned"?
Also, if you want to see a test Puppy.org site running with Web server puppy LAMP -> http://puppy.prit.us. This site is a temporary test only and will be taken down soon.

No security! No Firewall.myogaeba wrote:Hi,
thansk for your excelent job .
what about the security ? is there a firewall ? a control center like webmim (somthing like that) ?
Bye
I use it behind a router firewall and only for testing websites. I don't know anything about firewalls. Is, for example, installing "linux_firewall-2-puppy" in the packet manager enough? Or do we need more?
prit1: your site runs good. About security, what can a hacker do?
