This was compiled in Puppy 4 and may not work in other versions of Puppy.

gtkpod is working in my puppy 2.16
After installing the libraries, still an error about missing libcurl.so.4 , so I made a link to libcurl.so.3.0.0 called "libcurl.so.4" and it seems to work OK .
I had to manually add a Firewire ID to my iPod nano also because an "Couldn't find the iPod firewire ID" error message from gtkpod.

I also got it to work in Puppy 2.16
Needed to make the symbolic link in usr/lib/ as Fernan described
also needed to make a link for libFLAC.so.8 - I linked it to libFLAC.so.6 and it worked fine.
Also once running the program had to adjust settings for the mountpoint for my ipod to mnt/sda instead of mnt/ipod
Overall very happy that this works whereas itunes in my non-upgraded (service pack wise) windows system won't install.

How do I sync an ipod to another itunes account without losing content on my ipod? How do I sync my ipod to my new laptop (on a new itunes)without completely erasing the music and videos that I have on it? Is there a way I can save all the music I have on the ipod now somewhere onto the computer, erase what's on the ipod, and later add the files back into the new itunes? Or is there an easier way of doing things? Please help, itunes sucks and I have no idea how to do this!

Since iTunes cannot be installed in Linux, it's clearly not a Linux issue.deannali wrote:How do I sync an ipod to another itunes account without losing content on my ipod?
