QUISP not working in 4.3 prebeta reloaded

#1 Post by Lobster »

Oh boy.
I was going to tell you how far I got with Quisp
but am getting this again:
500 - Internal Server Error
- it was working, had a clean install

The only thing I have installed is a version 10 of Adobe flash . . ..
so not sure why that returned? :?

What I can report is that Quisp is not as it stands, a database for the average user. I got halfway through the installing/setup stage (that is before having to do HTML type coding)
I got to a stage where it asked me to set up some sort of variable link
that I did not understand.
So it needs a front end, automation - something.

There were two SQlite database front ends that were ready for testing/trying in the 4.3 Alpha - that have been dropped. They seemed much more straightforward

This is the second time I have tried to get QUISP working. It was in Puppy before. Was unsuccessful then too. I am sure I could get it working as an exercise in masochism.

I found one person on the forum who liked used it.
Barry seems to like it.

Is this a Quispy duck or is someone having better luck? :)

We need more people testing and reporting back.

Regarding the "500 internal server error", perhaps we should try a different web server. Nullhttpd works, but one of the guys who was into it, Keith Silva, reported a problem and he went over to the Abyss web server.

Lobster, actually there were *two* people, apart from me, who liked it, thoughtjourney and Keith Silva.

Ah good news :)
Agree about the testing - I can not even get as far as testing as it needs setting up before you can do anything . . . :

So I need to configure the database before even using
and then have to use commands in HTML (luckily I am familiar with that)

I look forward to other peoples perspective :)
