Hi All,
I'm running MacPup 412. I can connect to my wireless network without issue when I run the Network Wizard. The problem is, my wireless nic doesn't autoload with its config after reboot.
The nic _does_ show up in dmesg after boot, but not in ifconfig. After the profile is loaded via the wizard, it shows up in ifconfig. Of course, I don't get an IP until I ask click on AUTO DHCP.
The NIC is a USB zd1211rw.
An thoughts as to why this configuration isn't autoloading?
Thanks in advance,
paean

Hi paean,
I'm running Puppy 421 on a Toshiba Satellite.
I am having exactly the same problem....I go through the setup, get an IP address, fine. Next reboot I have to do it all again.
I don't have any problem at all on my other puppy partition running 3.01.
The wireless adaptor is Intel 3945.
Anyone have any ideas ?
Phil

This question keeps popping up very often.
Up to know I had no problems in this area, but I am having that issue now with my laptop R40 and upup 476.
It doesn't seem to be related to a release.
As this issue is well know, it's a pity there is no developer who can find a definite solution.
