How do I configure Ayttm (IRC) for a different auto-channel?

#1 Post by compcompcare »

I'm putting together some older systems with Puppy but I'd love to have one 'master' system setup that I can copy off of.

I want to have an IRC channel setup just for this local group and have it the IRC client automatically log them in like it does for #puppy. Could someone tell me where I'd find the settings for that? I'm not having much luck in the Ayttm documentation or poking around in the file tree.

Thanks!

The launch script is call (something)shell...a small script .
Not sure of the name as I use pidgin but basically the same idea...search for 'shell' in /usr and that should bring something up.
Also the account itself will be in /root/.attym or similar

hope that helps

Answer from Siddhesh:

Once you join a chat room, there is a reconnect button on your chat room window. Click to push it in. The next time the server logs on, it will automatically join this new channel too. Another way is through the configuration file, if you want it for a lot of channels together; the file is $HOME/.ayttm/chatroom_autoconnect
Copy-paste the earlier entry and change channel name. The number is to signify if the chat room is public. 0 means no.
