aMSN won't display online notifications.

#1 Post by techloid »

My aMSN will not display notifications when contacts come online. It's beginning to be a real hassle. It will display when they go offline and that is all. I've checked the preferences several times. I'm using version 0.98b.

Can anybody help me?

It won't work on my other account either ... I've tried on both browser linux and Puppy.

Try this one: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=38622 I know I had the same problem with the other aMSN.

Still wish I knew why it hasn't been giving me notifications though ...

Ok then ... it seems to be working again somehow, but only for one person. I am totally in the dark about why it's doing that now, unless it's a server problem.

This is the one I used and installed, it worked fine in 4.21 but it is not working in 4.3 for me. neither the sfs (even after converting it) nor the pet.
you're using that amsn in puppy 4.3?

then may be this package has an issue with 4.3
unfortunately I cant find one that can be installed with 4.3, I think I need to start learning how to create and customize packages for puppy from source code if I want to keep going with puppy. being a newbie the main problem I find with puppy is getting the software you want installed, and though there is a linux version of the software you want you dont usually get to find the ready made package for puppy.
I think puppy is worth learning that. I only started using puppy about 2 weeks ago but so far with all the advantages and disadvantages, I find it very good.

Hello techloid

It seems that it is a server issue, take a look at this: amsn-project-forums

Ah, ok, as I thought. I just had to explore all avenues before assuming it was a server issue. Thanks for the link.
