Turbopup Xtreme v1.0 - The fastest dog on Earth
Hi
Thank you aragon!
hints for turbopup:
free mem in the save file: calcfreespace.sh
date: see Osmo at the actual date with no opened note windows or use Ptimer / Pstopwatch (see menu > personal)
small icons in rox filer: press "-" key
and see also my message from Fri Dec 18, 2009 7:07 pm in this discussion concerning multiple keyboard etc.
who is knowing more hints? for example how to add or erase icones in the left little tool bar?
bye

Salut oui !
I have tested this on my laptop.
- before any change it is obvious to make a backup copy of it (for instance called "jwmrc-trayOLD" or whatelse you want) as also doing this on a fresh pup-save.2fs -
you get something like this (copied from an earlier turbopup version):
adjusting the size of the tray bar
in row nr.1 adjusting "width=24" to another value -36 for instance instead of 24- will increase the width and susequently the height of the tray bar; "halign=right" instead of left positions the popup bar at the right side of the screen; "border=0" defines a border around the tray bar only visible if the background is not black; if background is black (setup with JWM configuration) a non-zero value gives no visible effect; if JWM is configured to something else than deep-thought" and "border" setted to a non zero value, it draws a let's say 3D border around the tray bar.
To activate each change, JWM needs to be restarted (press F12, then /desktop/JWM configuration, there "restart JWM").
moving icons
just move lines to reorder them the way you want
adding (erasing) icons (not yet tested!)
I presume by erasing or adding a similar line containing:
- popup text
- icon path
- exec bin name command
Hope this helps
Amusements ! Charlie

Hi Charlie
The original turbopup Xtr (only SM 1.1.15, optimzized bei Synth in /usr/lib) or the version that I did remaster last month (SM 1.1.15 that don't start because no link, it is possible to change the link again and it would start, + SM 2.0, not optimized by me but so as I did find it, with active link on it)?
Perhaps also a matter of a "big" home and start page with very reactive content that will be differently filtered in both versions?
bye

Subject: Rox single to double click default
I was really impressed with the thought of Rox default being set to double click instead of the same old annoying single click. I was wondering how I would go about doing the same for my own remastered CD. I have been trying to figure out where all the defaults are for such settings as bookmarks for web browsers, themes, desktop links, and yes, the Rox single click default that I cant stand. I would really appreciate a bone on this one. Thanks and I am going to take this Turbo Pup for a walkabout for a while. By the way, any plans of upgrading it to 4.3.1 soon ?

It goes about the original Xtreme v1.0oui wrote: The original turbopup Xtr ...or the version that I did remaster last month...?
I get the same relatively long start time for Seamonkey whether /mnt/home is free of .sfs addons or not.oui wrote:Perhaps also a matter of a "big" home and start page with very reactive content that will be differently filtered in both versions?

Excellent work!
I am not a seamonkey fan, but due to adblock and noscript being include which are the only two extensions I use. I can also change to IceWM which is a bonus.
Another thing I like which may or maynot be available in other puplets is the ability to play dvd's out of the box.
Keep up the great work and looking forward to the next version.

Cups 1.3.11
Love Turbo XTreme, as it is the only linux I can run on my Dell CPi 300, with sound & wireless (almost) fully functional.
I've been trying to get CUPS working today, and reading on this post did not help me (my reading skills diminish as age increases). The following post completely resolved my Cups "localhost:631" issues:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=40225
Go to Patriot's second post. After installing the 1.3.11 Cups Pet I'm able to print (wireless LPR to a HPDeskjet 935C using a parallel port Dlink DWP-311 converter)
My hardware: Dell Cpi 300 mHz, 128Mb RAM, 80 Gb HDD, D-Link DWL-630 (Rev.C) using ndiswrapper. This computer is now working great (for what it is)!
Only thing not working: The mic works, but I cannot get the mic capture to work correctly (If I unmute mic in alsamixer I get sound from the mic, but for the life of me I cannot get the recording capture - or GizmoProject - to work properly). I will live with this issue as more than acceptable.

Link down?
I can't seem to get to this to download it. But it sounds really cool.

Downloaded this recently after losing an old copy of Turbo Extreme in the local community centre (or someone helped themselves to the CD when my back was turned ) and I have to say I'm impressed; it looks good with the new IceWM themes, is fast and also economical on system resources. So much so that I'm using it as my main Pup at the moment.
Well done and thanks for a fine effort.
