FATAL: /sys is not mounted

#1 Post by JMW4th »

Hi all.

I get this message that says Fatal: /sys is not mounted every time I shut the computer down. I get a string of about 6-8 of these messages right before the computer shuts off.

It doesn't seem to affect anything I do on the computer, but it's just really annoying when I turn it off.

I'm not sure what exactly this means or how to get rid of it. can anyone help me out here? where is /sys and how do I mount it?

I am using Stardust 4.3.1, if it means anything.

I get such messages after my USB fails, so in my case I think it has something to do with not unmounting devices properly (disconnecting USB drive without unmounting for example).

Incidently, I don't know exactly what it means...
