Solitaire (Solved)

#1 Post by jodi5549 »

Does anyone know where I can fine the basic or classic solitaire pet game like in windows. I don't want to download a package deal. I found a lead and lost already cause my desktop froze on me but that link let me to some other website starton instead of the pet file to download.

This one is valid, I just uploaded: puppy4solitare-1.0.6.pet 193 KB
If it says it needs SDL (not sure) : SDL-1.2.9.pet

I also have the "Xpat2" pet.....(nice little klondike solitaire game). And if you have Wine installed (like I do) I downloaded the win version of Pysol (fan club edition)....it runs very well in wine,..and has a LOT of different card games and cardsets. That "Puppy4solitaire" is really, really nice!).

Thanks technosaurus, here, I also mirrored:
sol-1.0.7-i386.pet 52 KB

@ttuuxxx, it seems it doesn't need SDL, I couldn't do ldd on it to make sure, it said it isn't dynamic binary, but couldn't open as text either.

jodi5549,

pysolfc, for linux, is available here. It has over a 1000 different games. Also, if you like patience where you need to do a bit of thinking, don't forget tiny seahaven, which is available in the top_10_games.zip package.

Thanks muggins, but I don't really don't get into all the card games and don't want that many, lol. I sure would like a good Mahjongg game tho without having to download all the others.

Yes, I updated my previous post and xmahjong .pet as well as my new mahjong solitaire 3d .pet does this, I tested both with Puppy 4.2.1 and they work.

I really like the 1st two and especially the 3D. Don't want to sound stupid but what is openGL? Is that something I need to download to make it work?

Are there any other solitaire games out there that feature a small array of solitaire variations... other than pysol, anyway? Or, are there any single-variation games available for, say, Pyramid, Golf, Yukon, and... there's one other game whose name I'm not sure about - one game calls it Rainfall, but I haven't seen any other reference to it. I think Canfield comes close, though.

Not that I don't play Klondike, of course. :)
