You don't need to double-click things like in windows.
That can depend on whether or not you've set ROX-Filer to only open things when you double-click on them. I usually set it that way (I'd rather not accidentally open anything because I slipped and hit the left mouse button in the wrong place... :) )

Ok got it now but when I click on mahjongg under the fun menu it doesn't open up. I checked and it is there in package manager. What else do I need to do to make it work?

open up a terminal and type mahjongg3d and tell me what it says

menu>utility>rxvt

You may have to reboot after installing qt-3.3.8 as its a library and you have to be running under xorg to play the 3d mahjongg. menu>setup>xorg video wizard

I've already rebooted and it still didn't work. I typed mahjongg3d and it stated
erroe while loading shared libraries: ligGLU.so.1: cannot open share d object file: No such file or directory. Also tried to get the file xorg and it wouldn't work also stated I already had that.

I've got it up now but don't know what to do. It came up with the puppy video wizard which I used when I set puppy up. and apparently I can use the 1024x768. I'll try that.

After it finished the xorg video wizard came back up to select finished and it states at the top Resolution is 800x600 pixels, Horizontal frequency is 37.88KHz and Refresh frequency is 60.32Hz

Did you try running the game after? If it still doesn't work I'm not sure what else to do it looks like its missing a opengl related file and i'm not sure what package has the libGLU.so.1.

Sorry this is such a pain it can be challenging to get 3d working in puppy and you said you don't even plan on installing any more games after this.

Did you at least get the regular Xmahjongg to work?

Well it still won't open even after all that when I rebooted. I'm going to give it a break, it's getting late here in TN. So don't know if I will keep fooling that or not tomorrow. My friend is picking up laptop tomorrow so just might just delete out. Have a good night and thank you for all your trouble.

I did try the xorg_xorg_full_dri-7.3.pet under the package manager and it refused saying I had all the dependances. Anyway the laptop has been picked up and they are very happy with the puppy 4.31. Did get the solitaire on it tho. I appreciate everyones help and will be looking back on these notes for the computer here at home that has puppy. I love mahjongg and will try it on mine and will mark this solved for now.
Thanks again, you all are the greatest for us newbie puppy lovers!
