openoffice-3.1.1-sfs4.sfs

#1 Post by oigle »

Operating System : Puppy Linux 0.43
User Name : root (root)
Date/Time : Wed 17 Mar 2010 15:56:05 EST
-Display-
Resolution : 1024x768 pixels
I really have puppy 431 and it has the right md5sums number (i checked )
Barry says ( in green)

Download any SFS file to /mnt/home (the same place as your "pupsave"
personal storage file), run the BootManager (in the System menu) to
select or deselect what SFS files you want to use,
reboot Puppy and its ready to go.
I did this ( 1911 uses pup431 but i have to use pup-431)

Pfind reports pup-431.sfs /mnt/sda1/pup-431.sfs 106110976
That also has pupsave.2fs so i put openoffice-3.1.1-sfs4.sfs there
Yet if i look in mnt/home/ i can see the icon for pup-431.sfs
as well as openoffice-3.1.1-sfs4.sfs (i put it there too)

Barry calls it openoffice-3.1.1.sfs
I renamed them but that wont work either
Bootmanager seem to work for both but there is no change on rebooting
What am i doing wrong?

EXTRA why wont Pfind find puppy431 which is shown as in /mnt/home
It seem as if i cannot add anything to the .iso as install wont work either.
Help please

I had the same prob. I had to rename openoffice3.2-sfs4_431.sfs to openoffice3.2-sfs4_430.sfs
