Yes, I tried that first. But it didnt help. Not sure if I should have deleted some config files also ?

I am still open to new suggestions if the wireless will be the problem. Would BK:s simple network setup be compliant with fatdog ?

You must have had an old copy of fd64-500.sfs somewhere, or the symlink is accidentally deleted. FD64 final includes libsox.so.1 - just check whether it's there in /initrd/pup_ro2/usr/lib64/libsox.so1.

Works fine on my Acer Aspire M5630. (desktop)

The Intel graphics seem to be fixed now, appears to be going through Mesa DRI.

But, I have an annoying bug, so far, I can only drop the resolution to 1024x768, if I use xorgwizard, but then when X Org comes back, the DRI appears to get broken!
It seems to go to software rasterizer!

Our son either mistakenly deleted or disconnected a USB stick and SD card while moving files around.

The USB stick won't unmount, rxvt shows nothing using 'ls" but pmount shows 966MB.

The SD card won't unmount, both "ls" and rox show one folder where there should be two.

He has not yet rebooted.

Are deleted files and folders moved to a tmp or trash folder until after reboot?

Is there any way to reverse a mistaken delete?

(If not, why not?)

Is there a way to Un-Do a delete if a device has not yet been properly unmounted?

He is kind of miserable at the moment as the data holds his records for many hours of game-play on his DS.

There seems to be undelete solutions for ext2 and ext3. I dont have any experience so I wont put any misleading links. Use google: undelete ext2/ext3.

Using http://startpage.com (I don't use google) I came upon a couple of discussions of Undelete methods, so far this seems the most user-friendly:

This code has only been tested in kernel 2.0.0. This code will not work for more advanced kernels.

It seems odd that nothing like this is built into the kernel and available on all versions of Linux.

It is a very common need and according to this app apparently possible to implement.

I've used testdisk in the past, it worked well. I haven't tried it with Fatdog64 yet. The key to recovering deleted files is not writing anything to that partition until you recover your files. Most flash devices are formatted FAT16 or FAT32.

I installed qt4-4.6.1.pet, but i did not find qmake. Where is qmake ?

Any idea why there is not a PET for this in the various repositories?

It sure seemslike the kind of app that we'd all like to have handy for those "ooops!" moments.

The graphical display of the drives app does not appear to work - is that a known bug?

We just get a black screen.

WOW!

Fatdog is sweet. Works perfectly on a HP G60 laptop.

Stable and bug-free.

Nvidia install and performance is flawless.

Full screen youtube is great.

Congrats to Kirk and his cohorts for an excellent release. Reminds me of Fatdog 112 which was also stellar albeit not 64 bit.

Also wondering if Simple Network Manager could be adapted as it works quite well in lucid 5.1. Not that I had a problem with the included manager but its not real newbie friendly and I would love to distribute a remaster of Fatdog to acquaintances.

I would love to see java and Extreme Tuxracer pets.

First , excuse me , forgot to mention , you also have to load

the fd64-32bit-libs-3.sfs . Wine is 32 bit , so you need those

compatibles .

There's a large number of new programs that all have WINE as a prefix.

On another note, Megavideo, Newgrounds, Vevo, and several other video sites are not working correctly; is there a fix for this?
