Yes, they never do. I tried but they seem to need the whole gnome Yelp system. Open to suggestions. A package in PPM would be good, if it worked. Any takers? Not Working

Yes; no indicator on any drive icon unless I click-mount it.rcrsn51 wrote:So am I. My frugal install shows a little circle with an X through it on the drive icon for the boot partition. Does your full install show nothing at all?rjbrewer wrote:I'm talking about the drive icons.
Unmounting the drive in use does not give a warning about
"drive in use, can not be unmounted".
Edit:
If I boot from usb, I don't see a usb icon unless I start pmount-mutt;
then it appears with an indicator.
It does give the warning about removing flash drive though.

Worked for me with Cups-pdf. Thanks rcrsn51. That's a big contribution.here is a patch file that should fix the problem with printing PDF files. Please test it and report.
It printed a U.S. Income Tax form from http://www.irs.ustreas.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw4.pdf
And it printed an ISO chart from http://www.graphics.cornell.edu/~westin ... chart.html
Can some people please install rcrsn51's pet on p. 25 just to test that it doesn't have any side effects? Thanks.
Just installed the font-patch PET and PDF is working fine.

This is just a test install but I believe this card needs the 71.86.xx Nvidia driver.
Full install is on sda2.......no indication of such.
Otherwise,everything appears to be working..........
EDIT:
For accuracies sake, I tried the 96.43.16 and 173.14.25 drivers......X wouldn't start with either.
Working good (no acceleration) with the nv driver though.

I find the Lucid/luci numbering extremely confusing.
Is the double-naming and numbering for the same product really necessary?
Anyhow, is luci-222 the same as Lucid 5.1 with 003 installed, or ???

The" Luci" releases are, as the thread title states, testing releases. There needs to be a simple way to differentiate between testing versions and stable release versions so different names.
AFAIK, the next stable release (non testing) will be 5.1.1, when testing is completed.
playdayz or 01micko can answer better, but that's my understanding of it.
I checked a full install of 218; it had an indicator on the drive.James C wrote:Dug another old box off the shelf to test a full install of Luci-222.
